Siberian Husky (medium coat) : : Female : : Young : : Medium
Name: Kyna, pronounced key-na
Sex: Female Approx. DOB: February 2008 Weight: Approx. 40 lbs. Coat Color: Red and White Eye Color: Blue Energy Level: Medium, loves to play with the other dogs in her foster home. She has hit the hotwire at her foster home so stays away from the fence now but does do some digging in the back yard. Personality: Kyna is a cutie pie and just a happy girl. Her eyes are always wide open and bright as though she's anxious to see what the next adventure will be. Everything seems exciting and new as if she's living it for the first time. Kyna loves to sit around the house with her legs crossed when she's relaxing. She's the first to jump up in the morning and let you know it's time to get up and start the day. She does so by jumping on your head and giving kisses! She does not get up in bed at night as there is no space for her but she would be there in a minute if she could. She will chew on Nylabones some and has chewed a pair of sandals and some corners of an armoire but she's young and was never taught any better. She is easily corrected and eager to please her people. She's affectionate, sweet, loveable and playful and just a joy to have around. Kyna will do best in a home with a canine playmate or two. She will most likely show signs of separation anxiety as an only dog - based on how she is in a crate. Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Not tested yet but does not display a high prey drive with critters in the back yard. Good with Children: Probably but has not been around them in our program. Housetrained: Yes Crate Trained: Kyna does show some signs of anxiety in a crate and will salivate and lick the crate door. She is not currently crated at her foster home because she has proven herself trustworthy. Rides Well in Car: Yes Leash Trained: Does pretty well on leash with not much pulling. Basic Obedience: Working on sit and other basic commands. Kyna will jump when she first meets you but we are working on that and she is coming along beautifully. She is very young and still does puppy mouthing but we are working with her on that as well.
