SSR is pleased to announce that we are partnering with Nash Correctional Institution and are proudly participating in their 'A New Leash On Life' prison training program. Jamie is one of our foster dogs that completed training and he graduated on August 2, 2008. During his time at Nash, Jamie learned sit, shake with both paws, down and rollover. He had fun with the agility course, which included walking the bench, climbing and A-Frame, jumping through a tire, placing on a pedestal and then doing his sit, shakes and down.

Energy Level: Medium to high. Jamie loves to romp and play with his foster siblings but also enjoys sniffing all the smells in the back yard by himself. He loves to dig holes as well! He is rather bouncy and because of that, may not be a good fit for a family with toddlers but will do great with older children.
Personality: Believe it or not, Jamie's Mom is a purebred black and white Siberian but we have no idea about his Daddy. Best guess is Boxer mix maybe. Jamie loves belly rubs and attention from his people, if you can get him to stay still long enough. Jamie is a bit submissive to other dogs and sometimes a bit timid with people but he warms up quickly. He stays on the move, wiggling through the house. When he settles down, he will take a Nylabone in his crate and chew for hours. Jamie will appreciate an active home that will keep him busy and run out some of his energy.
Good with Dogs: Yes and he will do well as an only dog or with siblings to play with.

Good with Children: Older children as he may be too bouncy for babies and toddlers.

Leash Trained: Does pretty well on leash but does zig-zag back and forth.
Basic Obedience: Jamie knows sit, shake and down. He is not destructive in his foster home and chews on approved toys only.
