SSR is pleased to announce that we are partnering with Nash Correctional Institution and are proudly participating in their 'A New Leash On Life' prison training program. Palidan is one of our foster dogs that completed training and he graduated on June 20, 2009. During his time at Nash, Pali learned sit, shake, down and heel. He had fun with the agility course, which includes walking the bench, climbing an A-Frame, jumping through a tire, placing on a pedestal and then doing his sit, shakes and down. Name: Palidan Sex: Male Approx. DOB: August 2006 Weight: Approx. 60 lbs. Coat Color: Black and White Eye Color: Brown Energy Level: Pali is very laid back and not the normal rambunctious energized Siberian. Personality: Tony trained Pali while at the New Leash on Life Program and I share his comments with you. Palidan is very gentle and a little shy at first but warms up to you once he gets to know you. He is leash trained to walk on your left and knows how to heel, sit and down. He is a bit stubborn and hard headed in his training. He loves to play catch me if you can. Pali tends to be a loner and enjoys his time by himself but he did warm up to the other dogs and began to play after a couple of weeks. If you are looking for that dog that will fill your heart with joy, Paladin is your boy! Good with Dogs: Yes but is not necessarily active and playful with them. Good with Cats: NO Good with Children: Siberians are typically good with children of all ages and the only reason we would not list them as not good with kids is because they may be too energetic and bouncy and knock over a toddler. Tony did test Palidan by pulling his tail and ears and he did great. Although he will do well with children, he may enjoy older kids that are more laid back and quiet due to his shy nature. Crate Trained: Yes Rides Well in Car: Yes Leash Trained: Does pretty well on leash with not much pulling Basic Obedience: Palidan knows sit, heel and down. He did do some work on come but didn't care for that much! More about PalidanGood with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids
