Casey is a demure little 40 lb. gift in a black and white, bi-eyed (one blue, one brown) package! She is about 4 years old, born approximately August 2003. Casey is a delightful house dog and unlike most Siberians, you hardly know she is there! Fully house trained, she likes to burrow under the bed and nest in closets when she's indoors. However, she often tips out to snuggle right at her foster mom's side in the middle of the night. She loves a good belly rub. Initially, Casey was a bit protective of her hiding spots when the younger canine siblings would come sniffing around, but she's gotten over it now and even comes up on top of the bed periodically to have play wrestling matches with her younger Dalmatian sister. She has always been very polite and respectful with the older dogs in her foster home and gets along with males and females equally well. Casey's most marked Siberian trait is her taste for cats. She cannot go to a home with cats or small animals and must be on leash carefully supervised should she encounter them. Other than when she spots cats or chickens, Casey walks beautifully on leash. She's a calm, easy girl and a wonderful pet. She does not challenge the fence at her foster home. All Southern Siberian Rescue foster dogs are microchipped, up to date on shots, spay/neutered and on monthly heartworm preventative.
