Siberian Husky (medium coat) : : Female : : Young : : Medium
What a doll baby Miss Jovi is. She was a pretty mouthy pup when she arrived but is no longer. She also came to us very laid back and docile but once she settled in, she found her energy. She does do some occasional counter surfing but is easily corrected. She listens when you tell her no and is eager to learn and please! Jovi is a stunning red and white female Siberian with a striking mask. She is bi-eyed, meaning one is blue and the other is amber and weighs about 38 lbs. Her estimated DOB is July 2006. Jovi plays hard with the other foster dogs but when she’s had enough, she goes off on her own and sniffs everything in the back yard or basks in the sun napping. She does great in a crate with not a sound, unless it's dinner time and then get your ear plugs. She does pretty well on leash also. She is house trained but has failed the test on having full reign of the house as she loves to eat things when you're sleeping. Because of this, she is still crated when her Foster Mom is not home and at night. Jovi really doesn’t play with toys much. She loves her human attention and says thank you with lots of kisses. Jovi does know sit and is working on other basic commands. She has been around young children and does fine but may be too bouncy for a toddler. She has not been tested with cats but has displayed some stalking behavior in the back yard so most likely will not do well. Jovi will do well as both an only dog getting all the love and attention or with multiple dogs to play with. Do you have a canine that needs a buddy because Jovi would love to meet you and your furbaby. All Southern Siberian Rescue foster dogs are microchipped, up to date on shots, spay/neutered and on monthly heartworm preventative.
