Siberian Husky : : Male : : Young : : Large
Scott is a roughly 70# marshmallow, born approximately September 2005. He is sable and white with some black tipping to the sable fur. His eyes are brown. He was noted as an outdoor dog upon arrival to the program, but does very well inside. Scott has mastered slippery house floors, but is frightened of stairways and there are none for him to practice on in his foster home. He prefers not to be crated, but doesn't complain about being there. He always goes outside for his bathroom business, no accidents in the house. He does like to counter surf a bit and picks up odd things like shoes and dog brushes to carry around. He hasn't tried to chew them and drops the object immediately when he hears a stern "EHH!" or "SCOTT!" This boy thinks there is nothing so wonderful as a loving person with a hip to lean his head against when moving around outside. He walks quite nicely on leash and seems fairly sensitive to the fact that his size could be overwhelming. He does not jump up on people, but rather hops on his hind legs w/his forepaws in the air in front of a person when he wishes to show his excitement at their presence. Scott is a submissive easy-going fellow who meets and interacts very politely with both male and female dogs. He even rolled over belly up one day when one of his smaller male siblings lunged in to unfairly snatch his treat. He loves playing with and teasing the girl doggies. A very jolly soul. No great interest or display of prey drive upon sighting of cats or chickens, but has not been tested thoroughly. Scott does not challenge the fence at his foster home. He enjoys digging at random spots in his yard just for the fun of it. With the nights growing cooler, Scott has been preferring to stay outside and has claimed a spot on the porch under the door. However, if his new family has a very big bed, Scott would be happy to keep his people company at night. He's a total cuddle bug and regrets that he's just a touch large to be a lap dog. A loyal and devoted companion, sure to bring much joy and happiness to his lucky new forever family!
