Siberian Husky (medium coat) : : Male : : Young : : Medium
Walker graduated from Nash Correctional Institution's "A New Leash On Life" prison training program on April 2, 2008 and is now available for adoption. Walker did wonderful with training and knows sit, shake with both paws, down and rollover, among other commands. He also had fun with A-frames, teeter-totters and jumping through tires while in the program. Walker has had a rough beginning but things are now looking up for him. He came to us with scarcoptic mange but has completed his dips and treatment and is now ready to find his forever home. Walker is a wonderfully sweet boy that gets along well with other dogs and loves to play, play and play some more. Although he is good with his fellow canines, no cats for this boy. He loves people and is always ready to give kisses. He is pretty energized so he may not do well with toddlers as he may inadvertently knock them over. He will make a great running partner and after some leash training, a wonderful walking partner. He does know sit and is house trained. Walker loves to talk in his crate and is the first Siberian I have ever seen that can do somersaults in his crate! Walker is a gray and white blue eyed beauty. He weighs about 58 lbs. and his guestimated DOB is September 2004. All Southern Siberian Rescue foster dogs are microchipped, up to date on shots, spay/neutered and on monthly heartworm preventative.
